October twenty-fifth

The air steals the stage
Many miles from family
The stars shine onto cloud tops

More lovely leaves upon
Lovely leaves
Tunnel in the side of my heart

Drive to see smiling faces
Exchange laughs and dreams
Offer libations

A day filled with new scents
Books at Powell’s City
All is quiet now
